Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3)

Thoughts: I have read the first book, but not the second one. This is definitely a great series with a kickass protagonist. I'm not really sure if this is the last one in the series or there's going to be more. I"ll find that out later. LOL. Or if any of you would like to leave a comment to let me know, go ahead! After reading the first one, I wasn't absolutely IN LOVE with it like a lot of other people. Maybe be because I skim read it. But I would definitely be reading the second in the series if I have extra time. I mean, who doesn't love some romance and a girl protagonist assassin? That's almost impossible! :)

The Iron Trial (Magisterium #1)

Thoughts: Woah. Holly Black and Cassie Clare! What even! Well, the only Holly Black series I read was Black Cat, because it was a book club thing. I thought it was alright. But I read almost all of Cassie Clare's series. Like The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. Totally love that series! Historical fiction lovers!!! Who like a little bit of magic. AND HOT GUYS! Read the Infernal Devices! :) IF you haven't already. Although this one is a middle grade read, I might check it out if I've got time, unless it gets super ravings, then I guess I gotta check it out. ;D

I'll Give You the Sun

Thoughts: I absolutely loved Jandy Nelson's The Sky is Everywhere. It was cute! Although I kind of forgot what it was about since I read it like so long ago. This new story of hers is definitely a must read. The beginning, middle grade part, I'm not that interested in. I do like the twin idea though. :) I'm really looking forward to seeing them growing up as teenagers and seeing the romance and twin dynamics there. When it's Jude's point of view. 

Rooms

Thoughts: I've always loved Lauren Oliver's YA novels like Delirium and If I Stay. This is going towards a more mature audience. It's more of family dramas and ghosts than romance. One thing you guys should know about me is that I don't do ghosts. The only ones I allow in books are those super friendly ones that are actually super funny and idiotic and have no idea they're dead. And romances with ghosts??.....ummm. Yeah I don't know....

Afterworlds

Thoughts: The overall theme is like Scott Westerfeld's dystopian novels. But I'm not sure if this book is a novel inside a novel, or the main character is actually experiencing the things she's writing down about. Maybe I'll check this out if I've got time. So far, it didn't snag my attention, but who knows, maybe it'll be good. :)

The Jewel (The Lone City #1)

Thoughts: I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this at my school's book club. And the book didn't really disappointed. There was definitely suspension and a cliffhanger ending. But I wasn't really into the romance in this series. At least not yet. I hope there's going to be romance with another guy, because I don't like the guy she falls for. You can find my review HERE.

Ashes to Ashes (Burn for Burn #3)

Thoughts: I didn't start reading this series yet, but I'm willing to try. :) Because I read Jenny Han's To All the Boys I'ved Loved Before and absolutely adored it! I just can't get enough of Jenny Han's writing after that. So, yep. If I have time though. Because it's so hard to find time right now.

Illusions of Fate

Thoughts: Looking for a supernatural paranormal book to read? Here's one for you! It's deemed Downtown Abbey meets Cassandra Clare! Personally, I'm not much for supernatural but if the romance and the plot is good, I might try it! 

Blackbird (Blackbird #1)

Thoughts: I've read a few ARC reviews about this people. People either hated it or loved it. The plot and everything definitely sounds intriguing. I would totally read it. But I heard 2nd POV is really hard to get used to or understand. Maybe I could understand it well. I think 2nd POVs are how some fanfictions are written. Yannoe the ones that involves celebrities boys and you? LOL. I don't even read fanfiction. No time in life. I might check this one out though.

Messenger of Fear (Messenger of Fear #1)

Thoughts: Did I talk about this before? I have a feeling I've mentioned it in a previous release post. Maybe. I dunno. I'm not a big Michael Grant fan soo.....but the synopsis reminds of the Hunger Games and like The Maze Runner or something. Lately, I've kind of getting tired of dystopia. I'm really into the Fantasy Medieval genre nowadays. So...maybe, maybe not.

Sparks Rise (The Darkest Minds #2.5)

Thoughts: Omg. Haven't thought about this series for awhile! After those cliffhanger endings,I just couldn't bare to suffer the wait, so I just literally tried to forget it! BUT now it's back, the last book is coming! SOON! Sparks Rise is definitely a teaser in my mind. It's saying "Get ready for the conclusion!"

In the Afterlight (The Darkest Minds #3)

Thoughts: Here it is! The conclusion! Gotta find time to read this one! The Darkest Minds Never Fade in the Afterlight is now complete!! Can't wait to find out what happens to dear ol' Liam and Ruby. Them two though.

There are SOOO many books this month! I couldn't possibly put them all in here! Well, I could, but I'm absolutely waay too lazy. Plus, guys, I still have homework and tests tomorrow. *cries.

My Thoughts: OMG! It's finally here! Stephanie Perkins creates the cutest characters ever. Every time I reread Anna and the French Kiss, I refall in love with Etienne St. Clair. But I heard Josh was even better!! So really can't wait to read about Isla and Josh's lovely romance in PARIS. :D

Opposition (Lux #5)

My Thoughts: I haven't been keeping up with this series, but the first book was an entertaining, fun read. :) Book 5's synopsis sounds good. A lover's betrayal. Hmm. :) Hope the fans are excited! I wonder how this series is though.

My Thoughts: The Maze Runner anyone? Well, this isn't the Maze Runner, but the movie is coming out NEXT MONTH!! DYLAN O'BRIEN! AND THE MAZE LOOKS AWESOME. Okay. I actually haven't been reading James Dashner's new series, but it's worth mentioning the second book is coming out soon!! :D

Ugly Love

My Thoughts: This is definitely either new adult or adult. But since it's was a popular new release on Goodreads, I'm going to feature it too. :) I don't remember reading any of Colleen Hoover's books, so no idea how her writing style works.

I mean, it's Michael Grant. What can I say? Not that much. Because I haven't read much of his books. I read Gone, I thought it was pretty good. And Eve and Adam. But yannoe, just featuring the new releases.

Percy Jackson's Greek Gods

Gates of Thread and Stone (#1)

My Thoughts: The cover looks similar to Clockwork Princess. :) And the "brother" part. I love high fantasy books, so I'll definitely love this book if it also has a fabulous writing style, plot, and character. Which is totally hard to ask for. I'm definitely willing to give it a try though. :D

Cindy's Review: My friends seemed really really excited to read this book. And they were going crazy about how an ad on Goodreads made them really want to read this book. So I decided to give it a try. To give it a start, when you read this book, you have no idea that there were two different authors writing. I think they work really well together. And I like Katherine's last name, Applegate. And I find really cool that Michael and Katherine are married. Okay back to review.

The Cover:

Awesome! Very captivating. I totally get the cover. Every part of it is in the book, describes the book. It's like the last piece of the story. The apple, is what started it all. The lightning, I guess you can say it's the chemistry, or the car crash for that matter. The letters surrounding it, I bet it's the DNA's or hormones or whatever. Except it's probably not DNA because DNA only uses G, A, C, and T. And even if it's RNA, the only other letter is U. On the other hand, it could be chromosomes, except chromosomes still use G, A, C, and T. Okay. I can't believe I still remember that from last year. Anyways, the puzzle pieces is like Eve's construction of Adam. Totally awesome cover!!

The Characters:

So this book consists of three main characters. Or more like two main characters and another character has a POV part in the book. 

The girl, Eve, the ultra main character is an only child. Her mother, the CEO of Spiker Biopharmaceuticals. Big word. Omg. Anyways, her mother could create humans and do all those cool, illegal, not possible in our world (I think. You'll never know.) things. Eve was involved in a car crash and totally ruined her leg. It's probably broken into pieces, but her mother insists that she rest at Spiker Biopharm instead of the hospital. Spending three weeks in there doing nothing is super boring, right? Except, Eve's mother assigns her to create the perfect guy. Out of chromosones.  Or whatever she's doing. 

Then, there's Solo. His mysterious past is like the whole reason of this book. Solo (nice name) was basically raised by Eve's mother as the runner boy, who did whatever she asked. He hates Eve mother, wants to get revenge on her, so he decided to give evidence to the FBI on all the illegal stuff Eve's mom does. Except the deeper he digs, the more he finds out whose at fault. And at the end, it was one person who could stop him. Guess. ;) So Eve and Solo take turns having POV parts in the book.

Adam, the second part of the title. He only has one POV part. I think. Or at least only a few. Since, during most part of the book, he was being made,  I don't know much about him,, except he kind of acts robot-y. Thinking about it, shouldn't Eve and Adam fall in love? I mean, Eve created him. Her idea of a perfect guy. She's gotta like him. ;) You'll see the twist. But if you're smart enough, I'll bet you know it by now. LOL. 

The Plot: 

I don't even know why I do this part anymore. I think I explain everything in the characters sections. So. I guess, I'll combine it next time.

Book Comparisons:

Hmmm. I probably don't have my thinking cap on, because I really don't remember what this book reminds me of. Not really. Okay. Skip. Until maybe I remember. Or maybe it's just so unique, there isn't any. But everything reminds me of something. Okay. Eve and Adam reminds of that story form the bible, but I swear this isn't even close. 

I got it!!! Okay. So Eve and Adam reminds me of  The Adoration of Jenna Fox. Which  read all they way back in sixth grade. Which was only two years ago. But I do have really bad memory. LOL. So in the Adoration of Jenna Fox, it had the same scientifical stuff, but I won't tell you more because I think all the scientific stuff happens in the end.

The Ending:

My reaction was Ummmm.....okay. Not that it was bad. But I kinda want Eve to end up with the other guy. I dunno... I don't have much of an idea about who she should end up with in this book. Because I'm not madly enough with both guys, so no thoughts there.

The Bad:

Hmmmm......she should have ended with the other guy. And please, make Adam more man-like. He seems like Ken from Barbie. And he also seems like a wimp at the same time. 

The Good:

Well, these sci-fi stuff. Pretty well thought out, I kinda like sci-fi genre so yaay!
