Waiting for Wednesday #10

Waiting on Wednesday #10!

Waiting for Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spines.
It spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
This week's awesome, to-read book is:

Oxford ShadowsOxford Shadows
(The Oxford Trilogy #2)
by Marion Croslydon
Expected Publication: May 6th, 2013

Goodreads Summary:

When death is a new beginning and love an old curse.

Still recovering from her last tango with the afterlife, Louisiana-born Madison LeBon struggles not only with her life as an Oxford postgrad but also with her budding love for Rupert Vance, aristocrat extraordinaire. One thing is certain, though: she won’t run away from her powers anymore. From now on she’ll face the music …

… literally!

When a sixteenth-century ghost makes an appearance during a classical concert Madison attends and threatens her boyfriend’s family, she sets out to explore the dark mysteries of the Tudors, even if that means confronting their most royal and homicidal character.

Her plans take an unexpected turn when her voodoo heritage catches up with her. With horror, she understands what her fate was always meant to be.

The question now is: Can Rupert be part of it?

Cindy's Reason:
After reading Marion Croslydon's first book of The Oxford Trilogy, Oxford Whispers, which was a tragic love story between two people in the 18th century and the present-day. How could I not continue to read this awesome series?

You can find my review of Oxford Whispers HERE

Cindy's Reason:
Okay. Okay. I just found this awesome new series to love as much as Delirium and all my dystopian list books. And it's the Shatter Me sereis!! My review for Shatter Me would be coming up tomorrow, so check it out and find out why I want to read this next book so much! ;D

Well, I gotta say, a lot of books are coming out on March. I guess I'm going to go broke that month. ;/

Cindy's Reason: I recently read Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines and loved the romance between Rush and Blaire. I need to find out what happened between them!

Cindy's Reason: Ohmygawd! Ohmygawd! The Goodreads summary is killing me. I recently read The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter and decided I wanted to continue on with the series. Even though I haven't read the second book yet, I can tell once I read it, I'll want to read the third book since there's a cliffhanger and everything. Okay. Just from the teaser, I need to read this book. So, I totally can't wait till this book comes out!

Annabel (Delirium 0.5)
by Lauren Oliver
Annabel (Delirium, #0.5)
Expected Publication: December 26th, 2012
by HarperCollins

Goodreads Summary: Lena's mother, Annabel, has always been a mystery—a ghost in Lena's past. Until now.

Discover her secrets in Lauren Oliver's brilliant original digital story set in the world of New York Times bestsellers Delirium and Pandemonium.

Lena Halloway's mother, Annabel, supposedly committed suicide when Lena was only six years old. That's the lie that Lena grew up believing, but the truth is very different. As a rebellious teenager, Annabel ran away from home and straight into the man she knew she was destined to marry. The world was different then—the regulations not as stringent, the cure only a decade old. Fast forward to the present, and Annabel is consigned to a dirty prison cell, where she nurtures her hope of escape and scratches one word over and over into the walls: Love.

But Annabel, like Lena, is a fighter. Through chapters that alternate between her past and present, Annabel reveals the story behind her failed cures, her marriage, the births of her children, her imprisonment, and, ultimately, her daring escape.

Cindy's Reason: For those who don't know me, I'm a total Delirium fan here. After finding out a little more about Lena's mom, Annabel, I really really can't wait to read her story!

Happy Reading~

Expected Publication: February 5th, 2013
By Feiwel and Friends

Goodreads Summary: Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.

Waiting for Wednesday #4!

Waiting for Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spines.

This week's awesome, to-read book is:

The Elite (The Selection #2)
By Kiera Cass
Expected Publication: April 23rd, 2013
By HarperTeen

Goodreads Summary: The hotly-anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestsellerThe Selection.

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.

America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending.

Cindy's Reason: I've read The Selection by Kiera Cass, the first book, and literally fell in love with it! I think I read it three times already. ;) In The Selection, there is a love-triangle, but it isn't major major like Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Thank god. I would die right away if I have to wait that long also for a second book. But even it's a tiny love-triangle, I still want to read the second book. Another reason is that I love the book's plot.  Totally....AND TEAM MAXON ALL THE WAY!!
Happy Reading~

Cindy's Reason: Truthfully, I first started the Cambion series because it was a Blog Tour. But the end of the first book, Beg for Mercy is such a big cliffhanger, that I had to buy Waiting for Mercy and No Mercy from Barnes and Nobles. I couldn't resist the whole not knowing thing. Prodigy (Legend #2)
by Marie Lu
Expected Publication: January 29th, 2013
by Putnam Juvenile

Goodreads Summary:  June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—-June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.

It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

Cindy's Reason: Legend, the first book of the Legend series was awesome. It is one of the few dystopian books I love. As you know, dystopian is totally my genre. I can't wait to find out what happens with June and Day in the Prodigy!

Waiting on Wednesday #1

    Waiting on Wednesday #1!

Requiem (Delirium, #3)

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine. It spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's awesome, to-read book is:

Requiem (Delirium #3)
by Lauren Oliver
Expected Publication: Marched 5th, 2013
by HarperTeen

Goodreads Summary: Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancĂ©e of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

Cindy's Reason: Ohmygawd. Like the major cliffhanger in Pandemonium (Delirium #2) is like the biggest cliffhanger I have ever faced. Like seriously. OMG. And Delirium is also my favorite dystopian series, so that also adds up. Why why why does this book has to come out in 2013!! ;( But, anyways, I'm really looking forward to this book's release!
