Thoughts: It's the last book in the series! I feel like I've grown up with Percy Jackson or something. Although the series get crazier and bigger each time, I'm still happy to continue reading. But I kind of hope it stops here. I mean, yeah, I WANT MORE PERCY. But Percy's gotta grow up and live his life like a normal human being. 

AAANND. Rick Riordan's writing a new Norse series!!!! Yaaass. I'm checking that out~

The Young Elites (The Young Elites #1)

Thoughts: Omgomgomg. It's coming out already? I swear it was just yesterday I was wondering about the release date. I thought it comes out 2015 or something! Obviously I haven't been keeping up since there's a whole bunch of blog posts and giveaways for this. OMG. I CAN'T. I JUST CAN'T. I'm so excited to read this! I'll be so juiced when it gets into my hands. HAHAH. :)

In the Afterlight (The Darkest Minds #3)

Thoughts: And here it is! The last installment of The Darkest Minds. OMG. I absolutely loved the first book! And I've been waiting so long, I might need to reread the series all over again to get all those feels again. :) 

Ruby and Liam though. They need to be together. And then there's Cole. I dunno. I really need to reread the series again. Haha. 

Snow Like Ashes (Snow like Ashes #1)

Thoughts: I've been seeing this book around so much. And now that I read the summary, I definitely want to read it! Like OMG YAAAAS. High Fantasy. Warrior girl. Best friend love interest. What else could I ask for? I hope the writing really lives up to its synopsis! 

The one and only problem I have so far is the love interest's name: Mather. Really? Mather? I think it could have been hotter. But maybe there's a hidden meaning or he has a special name....:)

Talon (Talon #1)

Thoughts: I mean, it's Julie Kagawa. I read a preview of the book and it seemed like a fun book to read. Although I was looking to some romance but I don't see any....yet. Anyways. This book is about dragons. That can be humans. And dragon hunters. 

Either way, I might check this one out if I have time, because I'm not really into dragons. But maybe this can change my mind. :D

Black Ice

Thoughts: Haven't checked this book out yet, but it seems like it's a standalone.....woah. This is more like a suspense, yet hints of romance. And all those grim blizzards and murders. It seems like it would belong in my English textbook. Not that it's a bad thing. Lately, I been reading so much about deaths like Into the Thin Air and Of Clay We Are Created. 

Hmmm. Maybe I'll check this out. Just to see which boys she ends up with. :)

Thoughts: Omgomgomg. It's like my favorite authors all in one! Especially Stephanie Perkins! I can't get enough of her awesome characters and romances. Anna and Etienne. <3. 

And it's the holidays already!!! Times go by so fast. *tears. I don't even know why I'm so emotional, but it's just those warm-flutter feelings of the holiday. :)

Thoughts: Woot! I love finales. The last book in the series are always very good. And awesome. :) Can't wait to read it. I really have to buy the book. Saying goodbye to June and Day. Unless...there's more novellas. Anyways, if you enjoy a dystopian romantic YA novel, read this series! If you haven't already.

Of course, Kitty Doe wants to be a VII instead of a III. But there is always a catch to it. And she would become the pawn to this very political game.

Thoughts: More Magnus Bane. Why not. These Bane Chronicles are novellas of Magnus. And his experiences and stuff. And he has a lot of experience. Because he's immortal. I haven't read any of them. But once I get time. Why not. It's Magnus Bane! :D

This was back in Clary's mom time. When Valentine was a Shadowhunter. And maybe just starting to get evil.

Foreplay (The Ivy Chronicles#1)

Thoughts: It's been awhile since I read a romance novel. Not like the cover, the whole in bed part, mind you that. It's the chasing after a best friend's brother part. Oooh. SO CUTE. And there's already a love-triangle, which I get so frustrated at if they're cliffhangers, but at the same time, which I secretly love. Okay. Let's not look at the cover. The cover's taking the romance to a whole next level. What I meant to say was that I haven't read a YA romance novel that is contemporary, high school, since forever.

Tagline: Before she goes after the life she's always wanted, she's about to find the one she needs.

Okay, sounds like she's about to give up her crush.

Brooke (Under the Never Sky#2.5)

Thoughts: Ooh. A novella. About Broke. Right before the conclusion of the whole series. I didn't read Into the Still Blue just yet. Because it isn't published yet. So this is a novella between book 2 and book 3, I might as well read it too. :)

Tagline: Pulsing with romance and danger, Brooke will leave readers desperate about for the conclusion to this epic and unforgettable saga.

Hmmm. I see. Making it a cliffhanger, aren't we. Into the Still Blue comes out in 2014. If it's going to make readers desperate for the finale, I'm not going to read it just yet and torture myself. LOL.

Soar (The Empire Chronicles#1)

Thoughts: Well, Alyssa Rose Ivy writes pretty good books. She may be a self-published indie author, but her books are getting pretty out there. I would definitely read this new upcoming series of hers. Hmm. This seems to go to modern fantasy and the supernatural world. I'm not really into supernaturals but the cover is great.

Tagline: In the city that never sleeps the Chronicles continue...

Ooh. A pretty eye-catching tagline...

Full Ride

by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Release Date: November 12th, 2013

Thoughts: Woah. Full ride scholarship. I want one. To Standford! If only. But the story isn't exactly what I thought. It kind of reminds me of the movie of Freedom Writer. Margaret Peterson Haddix was a really great middle grade writer. At least, I only read her middle grade books. So let's see how she does with the high school world. :D

Tagline: Becca thought her life was over when her father was sent to prison for embezzlement.

 See. Not what I was expecting. I was expecting more of how to get into college with a full-ride scholarship. Now I need that book.

Goddess in Time (Oh. My. Gods. #2.1)

Thoughts: I love gods and goddesses. Especially Greek mythology. Haha. And this just sounds funny. Although it isn't the first one in its series, I'll look into it. I just love these gods and goddesses business. 

Tagline: A fun, action-packed novella, perfect for teenage Percy Jackson fans, starring favorite characters from Greek mythology and beloved author Tera Lynn Childs's Oh. My. Gods. series.

Did I just see that right? Percy Jackson? Greek mythology? Eek!

The Key (The True Reign Series#1)

Thoughts: Medieval! I love medieval. And princes. And just medieval romance in general. They make like the best romance novels ever. Even dystopian and contemporary can't be compared to a good written romance in the castle novel. This book goes really deep in this love-hate problem romance thing. Which I would thoroughly enjoy. So yes. :) I'm reading this one.

Tagline: Within these pages lie kingdoms with castles and princes who fall in love with fair maidens, but make no mistake--this is no fairytale.

Ooh. Love that tagline right there. <3.

Not bad. I enjoyed November's new books. :D

The Key especially. I just fell in love with that tagline. 

Sounds really good. Just the author wrote the book even better!

And of course, there's also Champion. Gotta read that one still.

Chapmion by Marie Lu Update & Excerpt

It's the finale to Legend!! Finally here~ Or actually, finally CLOSER. 

 Release Date: November 5th, 2013.

Omg. Sooo close. Can't wait!! And the Champion book tour!! OMG. I met Marie Lu for the Prodigy one. So yeee! I wanna meet her again! :) 

So like, of course, knowing me, I'm gonna take some snipbits from USA Today's interview with Marie Lu to share with you guys. 

And there's gonna be some movie info. And a new book that Marie Lu is working on. *Squeals It sounds good too. Omg. Okay.

Q: So where are we with the Legend movie at this point?

A: We're still looking for the perfect director, and the producers have a couple people in mind. Based on what they've told me, I'm pretty excited by their choices.

OHMEGERD. I just knew Legend is gonna become a movie. *cries. I have to go the movies sooo much~ Omg. Now there's another movie to be anticipated. Just this month, I went two times because of Percy Jackson and The Mortal Instruments. By the time this post comes out,It'll be September soo.... My next movie date should be somewhere in November and December because I'm probably not catching Catching Fire. LOL. 

Q: Were you frustrated when director Jonathan Levine dropped out of the production earlier this year?

A: I don't know if I'm at the point where I'm cynical enough to be upset by it. (Laughs) The whole process is still very amazing to me. The fact that any movie gets made at all is a miracle to me when I think about how complicated the entire process is. I'm just along for the ride, and as long as I get to keep working on my writing, I'm excited by whatever I hear.

Hmmm.. What's all this? I see that they got a director. Wells. Can't wait for them movies~ GOOD LUCK, Legend! 

Q: Working on The Young Elites, have you found many similarities to theLegend series?

A: It's a little bit like Legend in that the tone and the style of writing and pacing is similar, but it's a little more sweeping. It has a bigger cast in general. Otherwise, it's quite different. I'm calling it X-Men meets Assassin's Creed. It has that sort of feel to it.

Yes! Pretty excited! Omg. Anything to do with elites sounds good to me~ Gotta search up. Lemme see if I can find more info for it. Okayyy. I found a blurb on Goodreads, but no cover yet.

Cindy's Review: Yeah! I finally got my hands on this book!! I waited forever for this one to come out. Since this one is one of the first 2013's most anticipated waits, I can't believe it came so fast! ;) <333

The Cover:

To me, the cover looks like it's worn out and got dirty and everything. If you look closely at the hardcover cover, you'll notice. Good thing is that my friend can't ever say I ruined her cover since she got her book like that. Omg. LOL.

The Characters/Plot: 

So Prodigy has just the same characters as Legend. Well, basically. There's just two extra main characters. And it's the same June and Day POV's back and forth. Instead of gold, Day's POV is a beautiful shade of blue this time. ;) I just love Day and June's names. It's so pretty.

An extra main character is Anden, the ex-Elector Primo's son, who takes the Elector Primo seat. Day starts off hating him but when he and June discovers how Anden's personality really is and all the puzzles pieces start to piece together, everything just changes. So Anden is part of the love square. He likes June. And I dunno if June likes him back. We all know June likes Day, but you can like two people at once. But June isn't pushing Anden away so that means that June does have a little feelings for Anden! Nooo! Although Anden's role does kinda seem like Prince Maxon in The Selection by Kiera Cass, still noo!!!

Tessa appeared a lot in the beginning of Legend. And she comes back again. This time more grown up, and there's also that new love for Day. Like no! Day is taken!!!!! UGH. This whole romance thing though.

The other new character is I forgot his name. Really. And I don't have the book. And I'm too lazy to look online. So ugh. Forget this. 

The Extras:

Well. Prodigy ended. Now we have to wait for the third book and so far no new info yet. I'll keep you guys updated. Betcha!
