Okay guys, try not to focus on the cover too much. LOL.
Anyways, I've allowed myself to go past young adult genre a little bit and into the new adult genre. I definitely won't be reading adult books though, trust me on that one, but new adult books still stay on the line, and they're still readable. I can live through the romance. It's alright. Just breathe.
I've been reading quite a few new adult genre lately. Dunno why. Maybe because they seemed really interesting. Some are Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines and Never Say Never by Kailin Gow. Okay. Maybe they are the only ones I've read lately, but still. three is a few.
One unique thing that separates this book from the other new adult books is that I like how it goes all the way to the end. I like how it has marriage included in it, because everyone knows that's an important part of your life, unless you don't want it to be, but back on point.
So that was one thing I really enjoyed. I liked living through the ups and downs with the main characters, with all their thoughts, feelings, and misunderstandings. There were quite a lot of misunderstandings in this book and while reading them, I'm just panting lie "No!! No!!! No!!!"
Yep, very exciting romance and a definite recommendation for those who loves romance and can live through some new adult genre. The only thing that changes it from young adult to new adult is the sex scenes and the marriage thing, so I guess if you can live through those, you can love this book!! ;D
One reason why I decided to choose this book to read? Because of the author! ;) I read one of her young adult book called Ephemeral. Loved it!! Talking about it, I still haven't read the sequels. So gotta search for that! ;)

Blog Tour: Ephemeral by Addison Moore Review
The last thing Laken Stewart remembers is the oncoming car, then bursting through the windshield.
Two months dissolve without her knowledge and she finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings with strangers who not only profess to know her but insist she’s someone else entirely.
Laken discovers her long dead boyfriend, Wesley, has been thrown into this alternate world as well. He is quick to inform her she suffered a horrible fall and that her memory hasn’t fully returned. According to Wesley the other life she had—her name, her family, they were simply a side effect of her brain trauma.
In her quest for answers she meets Cooper Flanders, the son of her psychiatrist who readily believes every word she says.

Cindy's Review: One thing I really like was the cover and her dress. The cover suggests of a mysterious night with romance blooming like the flowers on her dress.
Since Ephemeral has the whole love-triangle in it, for obvious reasons, I'm going to have to choose a side. But first, I'll explain about the main characters.
The main character of the book is Laken. She has a very unique name that makes me think of the Lochnesss Monster. LOL. Laken wakes up one day in a forest with nothing but her memory.
I mean, she has clothes on and everything, but she has no idea where her past
went, where in the world she is, and why in the world does she have a fake
family. She's remembers hitting a windshield, but how did she get into the
woods, or Ephemeral Academy in Connecticut when she's from Kansas? Whose are
all those family imposer she has? This new world is strange and different, but
when she meets Wes, her dead boyfriend she still loves and Fletch, the brother
she misses, she has to decide if she's going to cling on to her past memories
or is she just going to forget her past and believe whatever they tell
her.
It's Laken's dream to be with her precious Wesley
Parker. She believes even death can't keep them apart. But she finds something
wrong with this Wesley Paxton. He has a different attitude,
a different personality, and he could even read minds! The only thing that is
the same about him is his looks. Is he the Wesley Parker she knew at home or is
he another imposer? But she still loves him, either way.
Then, there's Coop. Or Cooper Flanders. He's the
totally sexy, sweet angel you hear of, only in books and your dreams, of
course. Laken knows she's dating Wes and Wes is the one for her, but why can't
keep away from Cooper? And why does she feel a spark? She's not supposed to. To
her, Cooper is someone who she can rely on, to trust her, to save her, and to
help her. Well, saving and helping is typically the same thing, but well, Laken
does need to be saved more than once in this book. Cooper was the first person
she saw in this new world. He saved her numerous of times from Fems, aka
zombies, and Spectators and all that. But anyhow, she's supposed to be dating
Wes.
As for me, I'm rooting for Cooper all the way.
When I read that one line in the book, I knew he was going to be in her love
life. That one line: "The boy from the forest" Cooper was
described the way, you would describe an angel: "tall with sandy hair
and eyes the color of a lifeless sky." Even though Wes is like the love of her life,
there's something wrong with him. He's in the inner circle of the Count and he's
like totally mysterious and he lies to Laken. I just don't trust him. Really.
Cooper seems like the angel, while Wes seems like the devil. Or maybe I'm being
to mean, but I don't like Wes. Team Cooper forever. Unless Wes does something
to change my mind, like getting his memory back and actually remembering the
REAL Laken. But as long as Wes stays the same, my opinion stays the same.
Cooper!!! ;)
So in this book, there were these factions with
their own special powers. I didn't really pay much attention to it, since I
focused more on the romance. So there's the Count, the highest of all five, I
think, factions. The Counts are the one who takes care of all business, rules,
etc. And they are probably the people who swipes memories and make up a whole
new world. Second thing I remember is the Celestra. They can read minds and/or
time travel. I'm not sure if time travel is one of their powers, but the
reading minds part is a certainty. Other factions, who don't have the powers to
read minds, can get the power by drinking some of a Celestra's blood, like a
vampire. You know, I don't really know how to explain the factions, even though
it's an important part to the story. Like I said, I'm a sucker for ROMANCE.
Therefore, I pay my nice, little attention to the love-triangle. :)
Overall, this book was fun to read and whole
afterlife, the second level, and all that is pretty cool. It's new fresh idea I
haven't seen in books yet, so it gives off a fresh feeling. Out of 10 stars, I
give it 9 stars!!:)
