Palace of Mirrors by Margaret Peterson Haddix Book Review

Palace of Mirrors by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
Book Review by Cindy Mai.
Book Summary: "Somewhere in the world I have a tiara in a little box. It is not safe for me to wear it. . . . It is not safe for me even to tell anyone who I really am. But I know - I have always known."
Cecilia knows that she is not just another peasant girl; she is actually the true princess, in hiding until the evil forces that killed her parents are vanquished. A commoner named Desmia is on the throne as a decoy.
As she gets older, Cecilia finds it harder to study statesmanship and palace protocol secretly at night and then pretend that she has nothing on her mind other than scrubbing the gruel stains out of her best apron by day.
Cecilia knows that it is time to take charge. Along with her best friend, Harper, she flees to the capital city, determined to reclaim her throne and face the danger head on.
When Harper and Cecilia reach the famed Palace of Mirrors, they discover complications: Princess Desmia believes an entirely different version of the story.
Acclaimed author Margaret Peterson Haddix returns tot he charmed world of Just Ella, where a princess-in-hiding and a pretender to the throne discover that nothing is as it appears.

Cindy's Summary: So basically, Cecilia believes that she is really a princess, and she is in hiding because someone murdered the king and queen and so Sir Stephen is teaching her secretly in a small village. Cecilia decides to go the capital city, Cortona with her best friend, Harper, who wanted to run away from his mum and harp lessons. When they get there, they pretended to be in a musical contest to meet Princess Desmia. Desmia doesn't believe her and shuts both of them in a prison in a high tower. That's when they met Ella, another princess from another country and realizes that there are 11 other "princesses" and "Sir _______" in the dungeon. Together, Desmia, Ella, Cecilia, and Harper work together to find out who is sinister to keep the princesses and knights in the dungeon and try to take over the kingdom.

Ok. This is like a little nice story. Hey. I got this hardcover book for $3.00, so it's a good thing! There is actually a little romance in the book, not as much of Fire and Legend, of course. I just can't get enough of those books. But, yep. No quotes today, since I just didn't do them. I guess this can be the short post. ;)

Baii. Cindy.

With some many tips available you definitely cannot go wrong along with your selection.
It looks especially great when paired with rich chocolate browns and denim.
