At a Glance/The Cover:

  I'm not really into men without close on. I mean, that really wasn't what caught my attention of the book, so I assume that is a good thing. But hey, the title is great. It's so cheesy. At times, I would randomly read cheesy books and not hate it. Maybe I read those action and suspenseful novels a lot, but cheesy books are fun to read sometimes.

The Characters/ My Opinions:

Hannah - Hannah, the main character was pretty good, I guess. She wasn't super annoying but she also didn't have a huge, unique personality. I guess since this was one of my cheesy reads, I don't connect to the characters as well as dystopian ones. Contemporary reads are like my breath of fresh air. They;'re actually really fun to read once, enjoy the plot, and move on. I really like reading those books once in a while.

Jack Colt - His name reminds me of a horse so much. LOL. But you can guess what role he plays in this story. The one who plays around with lots of girls. But also has a secret behind him, hidden. And Hannah would be the one finding that secret...etc. I read a lot of books with that concept, but each has different writing styles and a few twists there. So I really don't mind reading contemporary reads once in a while.

I actually liked the beginning. I mean, there are some boring contemporary books. But the beginning kind of just pulled me in. And I started from there and finished the book. The book wasn't that long, but at least it wasn't so boring I had to it down like 14 times and have to force myself to finish the book. So yeah, I really liked how it had a hook in the beginning.

The book started with action. The teaser part already took place, except the Jack Colt part, but the MIA dad already took place. Yep. I love books like that. Fast action. And getting to the point.

Final Thoughts:

Sorry, this post came late, but I really did enjoy the book. :D If you guys like some cheesy title, contemporary read, here's one for you~

Starr used to be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played. “Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.

Cindy's Review: I'm not really into religion and nuns, but I fell to the part 'humorous and funny'. I just love comedy anything. Coito was sure a bad girl. I like how she was such a carefree nun. In fact, it's ironic that she is a nun.Throughout the book, I was thinking 'this nun. tsk tsk.' The three girls are just opposite from nuns. 

I enjoyed the adventure of this story. The irony was also very enjoyable, although Coito used pretty big words and I couldn't understand some things she was talking about. I also like how she got off topic so much. It's just like to get off topic. And then you get to learn all about her.

 

The parts that didn't appeal to me was that this whole novel seemed like a long explanation. There was some dialogue, but I felt like the action was very......it seemed like I'm reading through a channel or something. Or like a sheet of plastic is in between me and the action.

 

 Although my favorite genres are YA and romance and all that teenage drama, it is fun to read an adventure and funny novel once in a while. For those who would enjoy a hilarious, ironic, breaking all rules and laws novel, here it is! 

Author Bio:

Bryan Taylor is a double PK, a preacher’s kid of a preacher’s kid. With that legacy he faced two destinies, being an unhappy triple PK (Jubilees 17:23, “He that is born unto the son of a preacher and himself preaches shall be miserable until his dying day and suffer eternal damnation.”), or being sacrilegious and happy.
He decided to forsake the Southern Baptists for Catholicism, but when he applied to join a convent, he was rejected (sex discrimination!), so he decided to do the next best thing: write a novel about the three nuns he would most like to meet.
Bryan Taylor was born in Louisiana, grew up in Michigan and Texas, went to school in Tennessee, South Carolina and California, taught in Switzerland for a year, and has traveled to 50 countries, more than any Pope except Saint John Paul II. He now lives in California, which is one of the few places with people crazier than him.
