How to be Almost Famous in Ten DaysBlurb:

Seventeen-year-old Cassie Cee feels invisible because she's a double-digit size. She finds a book in a secondhand bookstore that she hopes will change her life. Her best friend's brother wants to make vlogs about how she is following the ten rules she found in the book, why she is doing it, and how she feels about being invisible for his school project. She agrees, but only if he promises no one but his college advisor will see the vlogs. He promises, but a friend of his posts them online and they go viral. When one of the "famous rules" puts her best friend, Rachel in a dangerous situation, Cassie makes one last vlog and Chuck posts it online. But emails begin arriving from other girls who have felt invisible, and she realizes she has to own up to being "the real Cassie Cee.

Cindy's Review: How to be Almost Famous in Ten Days was a fun read where the main character found this book in the library. The book had ten rules that led to being famous. Always being a shadow around her uber fabulous best, Cassie wants to be seen. Especially when a guy she set her eyes on at Starbucks ignored her and looked at her friend, Rachel instead. With nothing to do with her future, Cassie decides to follow these rules and try for a step in being famous.

These steps are:
10. Make a Video and Post it Online
9. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise Yourself
8. Acquire an Unusual Hobby and Get Interviewed About It
7. Start a Flash Mob at Your Local Mall
6. Photoshop Your Picture with a Celebrity and Send it to the Tabloids
5. Get the Paparazzi to Take Your Picture with a Celebrity
4. Become a Fashion/Hair Icon
3. Hire a PR Firm and Acquire a Posse
2. Write a Book About Your Life and Publish It Online, call it: How I Became Famous in Ten Days
1. Find Your Passion and You Will Become Famous

These rules are awfully hard to complete, aren't they? The #6 may even get you a huge fine. The only rule I think is true is Rule #1. Either way, Cassie did all of these with the help of her best friend's brother, Chuck, who doing a vlog for his graduation project. Somehow the vlog got introduced to others and everyone started to see the real Cassie, the shadow one.

Although Cassie didn't get as famous as a celebrity, she still got quite famous and went to through one hell of an adventure. ;D And she found her love too! ;D

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. It was quite a fast read that amused me. The rules are so hard to obtain but somehow Cassie ended up doing all of them. ;)

I rate this an 8~

Author Bio:
Kathleen has been writing since she self published her first book of poems at the age of eight. Okay, she copied her poetry in her best printing, she hole punched the sides of paper, tied a red ribbon around it, made a construction paper cover and called it her first book! She writes in different genres, but Young Adult fantasy is her favourite.
