Goodreads Summary: See the #1 New York Times bestselling story Beastly through Lindy's eyes! This is her diary, kept while living in captivity with the beast.Lindy's Diary captures all the romance and edgy mystery of the original!

Diary,

I am locked away . . . with no one to confide in but you . . . and him. His fur, those claws—they caught me off guard at first, but now I'm noticing something else about him—something deeper. It's the look in his eye. It tells me he's got a secret to keep. That's okay—I've got one, too. I think I'm falling in love with him. . . .

Lindy

Cindy's Review:
At a Glance:
Well, I knew what this book was about when I first saw it. I mean, it was pretty obvious. ;D I was first attracted to the Beastly part of the title. For those who haven't read Beastly by Alex Flinn and is a fan of fairy tale retelling, YA romance, etc, the book is all yours!!

And I suggest you read Beastly before you read Beastly: Lindy's Diary, because this book left some scenes out and added some scenes in. This book is basically Lindy's point of view of Beastly. And Beastly was Kyle's point of view. He's the monster, btw...

The Characters/My Thoughts:
Lindy - Okay. Don't really blame me for forgetting how these characters acted in Beastly, because I read Beastly two years ago...for the CYRM contest. Explains it? LOL. Add my memory = whiteboard. I guess I can start off by saying Lindy is kind of shy.....? Or maybe I just don't know what I'm saying... Okay. In Beastly, from Kyle's POV, Lindy seems like she hates Kyle. In Lindy's version, she hates him, but not as long as he thought she hated him. If that makes sense. Lindy started becoming curious and then finds out this beast isn't as bad as she thought he was..

Kyle - Kyle the ultra popular boy at school that turned into a beast because he was being an ass. Short summary of Kyle's history. ;D  What can I say? Kyle became a cool guy after he became a beast. Lindy starts to give up her bearings and actually like him and all. Yeah. I think it's just better to look at my Beastly review even though it's from way back then when I don't know what's wrong with my horrific reviews. LOL.

Okayy. Can't even find my review for Beastly because I read that book before I even had this blog. x) Ummm. I guess you can go read other reviews of Beastly then.

Liked:
- I liked how Lindy's Diary showed the Lindy side of the story. What she thought of everything. What she's thinking. Not just what Kyle thought. Lindy's Diary sort of gave out more answers than necessary. We officially know why Lindsy would start liking Kyle or why she talked to him in the first place.
- Lindy's Diary still has Alex Flinn's magical writing skills. All her attention-catching, amazing descriptions of fairy tale retelling were still there. ;D
- Well. It's nice to, in a way, rereading Beastly without really rereading it.

Disliked:
- I kind of want Lindy to be more lovable, I guess. I mean, it's really hard to like female protagonist because they're either annoying, bossy, stuck-up, self-centered, or depressing. I mean, it's really easy to like the guys though. ;/ Maybe because I'm a girl in the first place. But either way, Lindy was just not my favorite female character.
- I expected more things to happen. Like I really want to have those extra secret scenes. For example, because this just came to my head, Requiem by Lauren Oliver. The whole series had been Lena's point of view, but at the end of book 3, Lauren gave an Alex short story. A short scene that had already passed with Alex's point of view. I died there. #Tooexcited. LOL. So I think it'll be great if I had that excitement for this book too.

Final Thoughts:
This book was a refreshing read, since I wanted to reread Beastly a lot before I found this book. That's why I was searching for it in the first place. ;D Beastly lovers....I know you're out there. ;D Here's a book for you! Of course, if you haven't found it and read it already. #EveryoneknowsImslowandall.

Feature and Follow #20

FF 2013Button 300x300 Feature & Follow #144Feature and Follow #20!

The hosts of this meme are Parajunkee and Allison Can Read. This week's features are Paperbook Princess and Got Fiction.

Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback etc?

A: It's really funny how just did a whole discussion post on this question, before I even saw this. :D Maybe you can check my post out.
eReader VS Paperback. The post is actually right under this one. If that helps.....

Okay. For those who really hate going to another post and having to go back to that post to comment or something, I'll just provide the answer here. LOL. I personally, like physical copies. I don't care whether it's hardcover or paperback. As long as I can hold it. And hide it behind a desk during class.

For more reasons, you're going to have to go to the eReader VS Paperback post, because there are definitely long long reasons. :)

If you're a new follower, comment, and I'll be sure to follow you back~ ;)

eReader VS Paperback

Hmmm...Long time since I did a discussion post. The last one was about Love Triangles. I should like make a banner for these discussions too, but it takes too much work. Haha. Kk. I know there are a lot of discussions about eReaders and Paperbacks, but well well....I might as well contribute.

What are the positives things of an eReader? (Nook HD+)
Okay. A list?
- Many books in one device
- I don't need to move to get books
- Highlight quotes/Take notes
- Jump pages easily
- Multiple bookmarks without looking crazy (trust me. I took a book with lots of sticky notes on the side for quotes and some guy at school asked me why I had so many bookmarks. :/)
- Read the books immediately after purchase (don't have to wait for it to come.)
- See a book you like? Buy it immediately!
- Go online and other websites
- Visit your blog so you can get more views.....(LOL. I don't do that. I rather read.)
- Play games.
- Doesn't break when I accidentally drop it
- Talk, chat, Goodreads, apps. Whatever.
- Go on Google and fangirls over #guys #books etc. without your mom knowing.

What  is something bad about an eReader?
- The battery dies on you.
- Runs out of battery fast (when you read all day)
- Sometimes the page lags when you try to turn it. ;/
- Bright. Hurt your eyes. And even when you can turn it down....I don't like reading dark.
- It have problems. Just problems. Like a computer.
- Fails at a download. Especially when you're trying to get a book from your email. Ugh.
- Cannot turn PDF to ePub or mobi immediately. ;(
- Hard to type in
- Just not as good as a computer.....or an ipod....when doing other stuff, such as not reading.

What's good about physical books? #Paperbacks #Hardcovers #ARCs
- You can touch them. Feel them. Kiss them. (Not really.) Smell them. Etc.
- You actually feel like you own a book.
- You can put it on your bookshelf. Physically.
- You can show it off to friends about all your books...on your bookshelf....physically.
- Other people can borrow them.
- It actually looks like you're reading a book.
- You can secretly read a book during class and not get in as much trouble when caught. (I really wish I could bring my Nook to school. omg.)
- You can feel the cover and fandom how pretty it is without accidentally turning the page.
- It's a book!

What are some unsatisfactory things about a physical book?
- Pages can rip....and then you'll have to cry.
- When people borrow them, they dirty your book...and you'll have to cry.
- You have a better chance of loosing a book than a whole eReader. (I hope.)
- In a way, costs more than ebooks.
- Wasting paper. Be eco-friendly. ;D
- You might look like a book worm when you carry one around 24/7
- After you're done, it sits on your shelf with all the other books you have. (I'm fine with that.)
- You'll have to get up to get another book

Okay. So after all  that? Which one would I choose? I'm sorry, eReader. As much as I love you, I still like physical copies better. They're just more convenient. To hide. To read. In a way. So......sorry~ But I love all books! :)

Which one do you prefer?

Cindy's Review:

**I was given this book in exchange for an honest review**

This book was interesting.......

This book isn't really the kind of genre I would normally read, so I can't say it's the best book I've ever read. But it was kind of spectacular and entertaining. But those kids are just plain creepy man! I do like how it's individual short stories, so I can stop and it up again anytime, without loosing my page or not remebering what the heck I was just reading. lol.

During the book, I just kept on repeating, Kids are not like this right? I mean, I'm in middle school myself, and I swear up and down that nothing happened. No one moved either. Okay. And even if they did, well. They said they were moving. But they ended up staying there for the rest of the year....

I know this book was written as a for fun book though. So nothing to worry about guys. These scenes in the book are fiction~ ;D So this one was a fun book to read. I wasn't too scared. :)

Goodreads Summary: Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

Cindy's Review:
At First Glance/The Cover:
My opinion? This is like what I said to the book. "I don't believe in love at first sight, but since you're so popular and famous that even my friends who don't read would read this book, I'll give you a try."  The next thought was "Errr..I don't really like the early 1900s kind of books." The cover looked like the early 1900s. LOL. Can't blame me. Yeah. Then I read the book. That's when it blew me away. Like, it was the opposite of everything I just said.

The Characters/Summaries:
Okay. To make this clear, this isn't a love at first sight romance. For those who dislike the 'love at first sight' things. Well. At least it wasn't to me. ;/  I really don't think Hadley and Oliver fell in love at first sight. I think they actually talked to each other, and got to know each other before they actually started to like each other. Which is kind of my favorite kind of YA romances. Or just romances in genre. Because I don't read adult ones. I promise. :D

Hadley - Hadley lives with her mother in America. She had a perfect family once. But nothing is perfect. When her dad went on a vacation in England, he fell in love and moved there in less than a year. Totally. Um. Out of nowhere. I know. LOL.  When her dad invited her to his wedding, Hadley really didn't want to go. But her mom forced her. Well. That's kind of the less important thing.

I really liked how this book was written. The author has a way of writing that makes the reader feel like they are having fun. Like it's really entertaining.

Oliver - So Hadley met Oliver in an airport. She was late for her flight. And somehow, at the airplane, she ended up sitting next to Oliver. They talked a lot? Okay. I can just tell this is gonna be a sucky review. Maybe it's the weird weather. It's raining in the summer. ;/ And it isn't even supposed to rain in the summer in California. Ugh. And I like rain too. Okay....And I'm on Facebook. Not a good idea while you're reviewing.

I shall just move on to final thoughts.

Final Thoughts:
This is a really cute book! ;D I know I say that to like every ya romance book. lol.  I definitely recommend you to read it especially if you enjoy comedy and cute couples. ;D Okay. Errr...this is a super awkward review.

It's a really adorable way on how Hadley and Oliver met. It would make such an amazing story, if they ever have kids.

The Rating: (1-10): 8.7~

Goodreads Summary: The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A dreamy summer read, full of characters who stay with you long after the story is over.

There are many quotes in this color through my review, so please don't get too confused. I advice to read the whole review first then look at the quotes that are inserted like bookmarks between my thoughts. Thanks. ;D

Cindy's Review:
At a Glance/The Cover:
Instead of looking at it before I read the book, I'll just give you a short skim on all three. Before. During. After. So before, I was really excited. Cuz from the blurb, the book sounds so cute. And I LOVE LOVE LURVE YA romance. Like they are just so kawaii. I can't believe I'm so asain. I don't even use that word. Omg. I can't. *squeals. LOL. K. So that cover is so I just can't help but fangurling. Cuz it's so cute. Hot. Whatever you can to describe it. asdfjkl;asdfjkl; ....no words. I just really like those covers. Haha. And like I went to heaven and said hi to the prince up there when I found the book.

"Need rescuing"
Ohmergerd. This like the first page, but I can just tell he's hot.

During. In the beginning half. I was entertained till I ran out of my house. Okay. That never happened. But Huntley Fitzpatrick is just so funny. Ohmygawd. She's like HILARIOUS. George. Ermergerd. Yeah. And even Samantha was funny. And like, it was ALL about their romance. No other problems. Just them. Being their cute self. Cute couple. I just ship themk so so mucho.

"I might marry you. Do you want a big family."
I swear. George is like the funniest little kid ever. This statement is so ironic. LOL.

In the middle, near the end was when things got more serious. When 'drama' happened. And the 'relationship crisis' happened. And i cried. yeah. I really cried there. I kept hoping that this wasn't a series, cuz I really want them back together again. And btw, this 'drama' isn't the relationship drama. It's something else entirely so don't worry about dramatic crying girls. I actually wouldn't over something like that. That's dramatic *rolls eyes. I'm talking about the family changing kinds........

"George, it's usually better to discuss this kind of thing with your pants on."
It was about the big family comment. Haha.

Thank god this wasn't a series. Because I swear I would have died to wait a year that's usually how long a book takes to come out unless you're super amazing like Abbi Glines and she can finish a book in like literally three months. Printed and all. Like omg.  Luckily for me, it ended at the end of the book. Happy I guess. But I find it kind of rushed. Like I wanted more of the Sam and Jase time. Especially in the end.

"Then you could live in here with him. And have a big family."
George and his big family thing. *shakes head

Ermmm...okay. I basically did all three parts of the review. So I'll just try to fill in my missing parts.

"His bed's really comfortable. And he never pees in it...."
Omg. More of George. He's really making me laugh my head off.

Samantha Reed - Her mother. A Senator, who cares about politics and just politics. No time for Sam. Or Tracey. Only ground rules. "Don't you dare to date" And "No associating with the Garretts" Samantha. Good girl. Always follow mother's instructions. Yes. That is till somebody climbed up her window. So adorably cute there. ;D And secretly, Samantha begins to see the Garrets. Know the Garrets. And kind of be their neighbor.

"Voldemort the corn snake with the shoe fetish."
Okay. This was just super random. But it would be definitely something I might say to a friend. Yeah. I'm random.

Assuming you guys got lots of information from the blurb, I might as well not mention Garrett is a huge family etc... right? K. Moving on.

"Is that what they call it now?"
You just need to read the book understand this. ;') Dying. Omg.

Jason Garrett - Full name. I prefer him as Jase. Okay. The book. The blurb makes him seem average. The book makes him seem average. But when you read it. And pretend to be Samantha. He's like freakin perfect. Omg. They say he's not as jock as his brother. Yet. He trains and conditions to be in the football team. He's average compared to Alice and Joel The jock and queen of family. They attract, let's say, many hot beings. But like HE's FREAKIN' PERFECT. Excuse me for my language here. But I find it hard not to use those words and not express how I feel. KK. Yep. I think you guys get the idea.

" 'Me neither.' George jabs a finger at his own bare chest. 'We match.' "
Okay. Can you imagine now. What just happened? Haha. Hint: They are in Jase's room. *wiggles eyebrows

Okay. There are like so much more important people. I'll just give you  some base names. Tracey Reed is Sam's older sister. Who also has the looks. And the guy.

"I wake to Jase shaking my shoulders."
This is just too cute. Gah. If only you read this book, guys.

Clary Tucker. Ugh. That. Bastard. I hope bastard isn't a bad word anymore. Cuz no one uses. I only see it in dramas, when they're translating from Korean. Yeah. I wanted to murder him. Throw him in cow poo. Omg. I think he's selfish.

"You'll be needing that stupid Breakfast Ahoy scarf to cover that hickey right there."
;'''D I think I need Emoji on my computer.

Grace Reed. The mother. Even it was the mom who caused the 'incident', I find it more of Clary's fault. So I can't blame the mom. Although I did near the middle. For siding with Clary. But. In the end. *sighs. She's ended up being a mother. It's a good thing guys~

"Being a politician is a lot like being an alcoholic in denial."
I think this was the only deep meaning quote I shared, but wow. If you think about it....

Final Thoughts:
Okay. So final thoughts. Umm. ATTENTION! IF YOU ARE A YOUNG ADULT FAN, YOU MUST, I REPEAT, MUST READ THIS AMAZING BOOK. OMG. YOU'RE GONNA DIE. YEAH. DEFINITELY READ IT BEFORE YOU DIE. BECAUSE I DON'T WANT YOU TO MISS OUT ON THIS WONDERFULLY WRITTEN, ATTENTION WREATHING NOVEL. READ IT. LOVE IT. SHARE IT. ;D Where the heck did that come from?

"BAD MOMMY. I'M GOING TO KILL YOU WITH A SWORD!"
If you don't take this seriously, this was just plain funny. You really gotta love Huntley Fitzpatrick. <3

The Rating: (1-10): 9~
I just had to. Although it didn't click in my heart like some AHMAZINNG books, it was way too cute to not get a nine. ;D

My Reading Challenge #1

WEEK: 6/16 - 6/22

I signed up other reading challenges quite late
and then I got to lazy to look for them all to sign up.
So I just made up my own challenge.
It has to do with reviews because for those who may know, I review very slowly....

I finally made a banner myself. :D I'm proud. I can never make those things.
The format of this post or the challenge part was an idea of Music Plus Books.
It wasn't until looking at her blog that I realize I should do a summer challenge myself. ;)

K. The next post, I hope won't have as much forewords. ;D
If you also have that huge long list of books to review
or that long list to read, please join. :) I would love for others to also do this.
Be sure to link back~

Arrow of the MistTo Kill a Mockingbird

Yay~ Kind of proud of how many pages I read this week.
Although I did start to slack off towards the end of the week.
You guys are going to see To Kill a Mockingbird everyday a lot,
since I'm reading like a chapter a day and I have to take notes
and answer the question packet. Or maybe I'm just lazy. :D

That's it for now. Hope I'll keep up the reading next week~

Goodreads Summary: Annie Phillips is thrilled to leave her past behind and begin a shiny new life on Belvedere Island, as a nanny for the picture-perfect Cohen family. In no time at all, she falls in love with the Cohens, especially with Libby, the beautiful young matriarch of the family. Life is better than she ever imagined. She even finds romance with the boy next door.
All too soon cracks appear in Annie's seemingly perfect world. She's blamed for mistakes she doesn't remember making. Her bedroom door comes unhinged, and she feels like she's always being watched. Libby, who once felt like a big sister, is suddenly cold and unforgiving. As she struggles to keep up with the demands of her new life, Annie's fear gives way to frightening hallucinations. Is she tumbling into madness, or is something sinister at play?
"The Ruining "is a complex ride through first love, chilling manipulation, and the terrifying depths of insanity.

Cindy's Review:
At First Glance/The Cover:
Okay. That half underwater thing grabbed me. I'm a person who does not like to read mental books and suicidal things. And all those scary, crazy house stuff. But it just grabbed at me. Although this book doesn't portray a mental illness information in it, mental  illness wasn't actually the big thing. If you get what I mean. Mental illness didn't cause what had happened.

The Characters/Summary:
Annie - Annie's mother is an alcoholic addict. Her step-father, is a controlling jerk. And Annie thinks she killed her little sister. When she sees an advertisement in town for a nanny in California, Annie grabs at a chance to leave. Everything. The small town. Her broken family. There was nothing much she still wants or need in her town.

Libby - Libby was nice. Supporting. Helpful. Gorgeous. Just what you expect from a perfect, young mother. But towards the fourth chapter of the book, I suspect Libby of having mood swings. She gets all mad for simple reasons. I don't even know. I want to love Libby, but there was just a nagging feeling. Even without reading the blurb. LOL. Then, Libby became two-faced. It was that she became two different persons.

Walker - Let's see. He's what you get from a somewhat perfect man. He has everything. A big house. The perfect family. A boy and a girl. And the perfect wife. The perfect job. The perfect money. Everything around him shines perfect. The perfect temper. He allowed Annie to have a rest even when she's supposed to be working. And sometimes he could be strict, but he's nice. But in real life, it's more of an illusion. Nothing can be THAT perfect. Of course, Walker doesn't realize it till it's too late. Or is it?

Zoe - I think Zoe actually took a part in this. Zoe was the reason Annie became a nanny in the first place. Because Libby needed help taking care of Zoe. Zoe is like a super duper cutie. That little girl likes Annie a lot. And sadly, unloved by her mother. Her mother as in Libby. Libby. Libby. Ugh. Now that I finished the book, I just wanna kill her! She's just so goddamn evil. Ohmergerd. I feel sad for poor Zoe. ;( <       That was a spoiler. Highlight to see, but skip if you haven't read the book.

Towards the middle of the book, I got all confused. I had no idea what's going to happen next. And I had to debate two things that was actually happening. It's either Annie really does have a mental illness Reasons to support this: She called her mom's number and her mom answered and said she had no daughter. Or maybe that really happen. And she got crazy over a yellow room in a book or something.... or Libby is a controlling witch It doesn't mean she's a witch. It just means she's actually the evil person in the book. Because nothing seemed wrong with Annie when was with Owen.

Oh. That reminds me. I forgot the boy. OMG.

Owen - So Owen is like the only thing in Annie's new life that seems like she's not having mental issues. He's the only reality. Or the only dream. In this case. But Owen helped Annie a lot throughout the book, especially the end. Owen was the one. The one who pulled Annie back towards sanity. And see what really was insanity.

Okay. I tried to sound cool. But I end up sounding stupid and all confusing...

Final Thoughts:
This book definitely messed with my head. I got all confused. I was frustrated. But not that frustrated that I threw the book across the room and cry. LOL. I actually done that once. Not across the room. Just on the table. Because it was on my Nook. And I didn't want it to break.

When I get frustrated, I try to imagine out a better scene. Like most often, it involves a boy. And the girl. Doing something else. And forgetting everything else. Yeah. LOL. But in this book, I was too anxious to see what was going to happen in the end. Because like I said, that book messed with my head so bad, my brain was probably spinning trying find the reality of the book.

Of course, I got the satisfactory ending. And finding reality. It's cruel, but at least it's not consecutive nightmares.

The Rating: (1-10): 8.4~

Happy Reading~
