Book Summary: To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost?
Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments.
Cindy's Summary/Opnions: I'm back again! With the third book of the series! Cassandra Clare had normally wanted this book to be the last book of the series, like a trilogy, but for some reason, she wanted to start it up again and make it a six series book. I heard Mortal Instruemnts#4 wasn't that good. So I wanted The Mortal Instruments to end with this book, but it had to pick up again. I'll probably read the rest of the series anyways, if I can get my hands on it. Either way, in this book, Valentine actually attacks and a evil, new character is introduced. I can't really talk without spoiling. For real. So, basically, Clary enters safe place of Shadowhunters, City is of Glass without permission using a portal to save her mother. Then, Clary realizes she's special, that she have different powers than the other Shadowhunters. But the only problem is that she has to learn how to control her powers and use it against Valentine.
Okay, if I spew anymore out, I'll end up leaking you the whole book.
And I'll try to find and read City of the Fallen Angels.
