Q:Happy Mother's Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?
A: Oh God. This is hard. I normally don't remember much about moms. Only main characters. ;) Sally Jackson. Percy Jackson's mom. I feel that she's really understanding and she'll do a lot for Percy. She doesn't appear much, but from the scenes she does appear in, she's pretty cool. But the whole Poseidon affair ruins the perfect mom thing. But like there wouldn't be Percy. ;) LOL.

Ooh, Sally Jackson is awesome! I especially love her in the beginning of Titan's Curse... She is so sweet and worried for Percy in the first chapter :)
ReplyDeleteNever read Percy Jackson but I've seen this answer more than once. Kind of want to read it just to check out the mom. :D Old follower. Happy Friday!

Percy Jackson's mom seems to be another character who is popular this week. Great choice!

Hopping through. I've been meaning to read the Percy Jackson books for such a long time. I really should.

Great choice!
ReplyDeleteHer horrible taste in men makes her an unlikely candidate, but I think she overall redeems herself.

I know! Parents tend to be absent in like 90% of the books I read. So I basically went with a well loved classic!

Ahh, Sally Jackson again! I'm getting the feeling that I should start reading the PJ series - and soon. I didn't really like the first book but with everyone raving about Percy (and his mom, this week, at least) I'm getting curious again :)
ReplyDeleteHi hopping through. Haven't read the Percy Jackson books but Sally Jackson seems popular on this hop :0)

You have a point, the whole thing with Poseidon, but didn't she have Percy before she got together with that one stinky guy? I don't know, Its been so long I can't really remember that book.

ReplyDeleteI like Percy's mom, too. I mean she got together with that total jerk in the first book to protect Percy.
ReplyDeleteOld follower. I have not read Percy Jackson yet. How are you liking Darker Still? I bought it about a month ago but I haven't read it yet.
